There are many questions ,What is abstract art ?/How do you describe abstract art?


Abstract art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect. 


Abstract art means the art is not representational but explores colour  and form. Abstract art was created in the 20th century. It is an art movement that breaks away from drawing art as it is represented in real life.




The truth is abstract art is not "about nothing". At its basis, it is about form, colour, line, texture, pattern, composition and process. These are the formal qualities of artwork, because they describe what the art looks like and how it is created. Abstract art is an exploration of these formal qualities.

Abstract artists depart themselves from making the actual existing things of life instead they use colours, shapes, forms, gestural marks to represent their art in modern sense. Abstract painting serves a beautiful purpose for artist and viewer both.
